I'm a camera nut and have been collecting cameras since I was a kid. I've taken pictures with everything from a 100 year old box camera to a brand new digital camera. Manual SLRs are still my favorites, as they are always reliable, easy to fix and are easy to find lenses and other accessories for. I've never had my old Minolta SRT-200 let me down in the field. It's been dropped, rained on, stuck under luggage, and carried on camping and canoe trips since my wife and I bought it new in 1978, and although it has a ding here and there, including on the outer rim of the original lens, it still works just great! I've never had to do anything to it but clean the lens and change the battery. Let's see a digital camera last that long!!
I am fascinated with cameras and have hundreds of cameras and lenses. I keep on buying more that I check over and admire for a while, sometimes actually use, and then resell. Obviously, I can't keep them all! My display case is overflowing!!
Grand Cameras is now open for business. It is what you could call a Mom and Pop business, as my dear wife also finds it very interesting, and continuously shops for unique and interesting cameras as she goes about her day. It occurred to us that a hobby could become a real business that we both enjoy; hence, Grand Cameras was born.
We are not a repair shop. We look over each camera individually, sometimes peel the dirt off an ugly one to discover the gem underneath, decide which ones we will sell, take a lot of pictures, and then carefully describe it. We try to make sure ALL details are in the description, including any defects, so there are no surprises when someone receives their camera, lens, or sometimes other unique item. Most of the items we sell are used and many are vintage, so they certainly cannot come with a guarantee like a new product. However, we are always happy to return the full purchase price if we have accidentally misrepresented an item or shipped one other than the one pictured!
Bid or buy with confidence. From one camera lover to another, we love cameras and look forward to providing you with a great camera, too.
